Panchkula, June 24 -- A 32-year-old motorcyclist was killed after being hit by a speeding truck on the Barwala-Raipur Rani road in Panchkula while returning home from work on Monday night. The deceased was identified as Mohit Kumar, a resident of Bari Bassi village in Ambala district. He was employed as a technical supervisor with a private company. According to his father, Prem Chand, the family received information about the accident around 10.45 pm. The incident occurred near the PHC T-Point in Barwala. Passersby rushed the injured man to PHC Barwala, from where he was referred to the civil hospital, Sector 6, due to his critical condition. Doctors declared him dead on arrival. Family members alleged that the truck driver was driving rashly and at high speed. A case has been registered against an unidentified truck driver under Sections 281(rash or negligent driving) and 106 (causing death by negligence) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. htc...
