Panchkula, Aug. 3 -- The Panchkula crime branch arrested a Bihar youth and seized four country-made pistols, officials said on Sunday. Deputy commissioner of police (crime and traffic) Amrinder Singh on Saturday said officials had a tip-off that Raj Kishore, alias Raj, of Darbhanga, Bihar, had reached near the Commando Complex, Panchkula, to supply illegal weapons. Kishore, who is staying in Pinjore, was apprehended and four illegal country-made pistols were seized. A case under the Arms Act has been registered at Chandimandir police station. The accused was produced before a court on Sunday and a seven-day police remand was obtained to uncover the entire illegal arms trafficking network and identify other persons involved, officials added. htc...
