New Chandigarh, Aug. 14 -- Bhavan's RK Saboo Vidyalaya hosted the installation ceremony of its interact club for the session 2026-27, celebrating the spirit of youth leadership, service and social responsibility. The ceremony marked the formal transition of leadership and the beginning of a new chapter for the young interactors, who pledged to carry forward the rotary ideal of 'Service Above Self.' The occasion was attended by Teena Avninder Virk, president, Rotary Club of Chandigarh, as the chief guest. The event was also attended by RK Saboo, former chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and past president of Rotary International; Madhukar Malhotra, secretary; Vineeta Arora, director-education cum senior principal; Kunika Sharma, principal, Bhavan Vidyalaya junior wing; Sonia Salaria, president, Rotary Club New Chandigarh, along with distinguished Rotarians and guests. The ceremony commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting. Adding grace and grandeur to the occasion was a powerful Shiv Tandav performance by the students. Symbolising strength, transformation and the triumph of good over evil, the dance beautifully reflected the courage and determination required to become responsible and compassionate leaders. This was followed by a soulful sufi medley, celebrating the values of love, devotion, humility, togetherness and empathy-values that resonate deeply with the spirit of service. A significant segment of the ceremony was devoted to looking back at the interact club's journey of service and action during the previous year. The badge presentation and installation of the new office bearers followed. Kanika Chaudhary, the newly appointed president of the interact club for 2026-27, was formally invested with the badge of leadership.
