Bharatanatyam workshop held at Carmel Convent School
Chandigarh, June 5 -- The ongoing Bharatanatyam and Semi-Classical Summer Dance Workshop at Carmel Convent School, Sector 9, Chandigarh, is providing young students with a wonderful opportunity to learn and experience one of India's most ancient and respected classical dance forms.
Under the expert guidance of renowned dance educators Rahul Gupta and Nandini Gupta, the participants are learning the fundamentals of Bharatanatyam, including basic adavus (steps), hand gestures (mudras), expressions, devotional shlokas, and beautiful dance compositions. Along with dance training, special emphasis is being placed on understanding Indian culture, values, discipline, and traditions, helping students develop a deeper connection with their heritage.
The workshop has been organised with the support and encouragement of School principal Sister Shanta
The workshop will conclude with a grand finale on June 5th, where all students will showcase the skills and dance items they have learned during the training period....
