PATNA, April 29 -- An official of the Sultanganj Nagar Parishad (SNP) in Bihar's Bhagalpur was killed, while its chairman got critically injured on Tuesday when unidentified miscreants barged into the latter's chamber and allegedly opened fire, police said. The incident occurred at Sultanganj where three assailants stormed into the office of the chairman, Rajkumar alias Guddu, in the evening, where he was holding a meeting, officials aware of the matter said. The deceased has been identified as Krishna Bhushan Prasad, executive officer (EO) of SNP while the chairman is battling for his life at Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College and Hospital (JLNMCH) in Mayaganj, said senior SP Pramod Kumar. "A special team has been formed to arrest the alleged assailants. The investigation has started with the help of technical cell. Police have detained two suspects and are interrogating them," said the SSP. He added, "Bhagalpur range IG Vivek Kumar is monitoring the case."...
