Panchkula, June 1 -- A local court has dismissed the default bail applications of two persons - Raja Man Mohan Singh alias Rajesh, a resident of Hamirpur district in Himachal Pradesh, and Vikas Pahal of Sector 11, Panchkula - allegedly involved in an alleged corruption and forgery case. The case was registered at Sector 7 police station under various sections of the IPC, including criminal breach of trust, cheating, forgery and conspiracy, along with provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act, on July 25 last year on the basis of an anonymous complaint. According to the complaint, Rohtash Singh, who was posted as a caretaker at the police headquarters, Panchkula. allegedly operated a fake firm - RS Enterprises - in the name of a relative and used it to secure payments through forged quotations and bills. It was alleged that fake quotations were prepared to show the firm's rates as the lowest, enabling sanction of bills worth crores of rupees. During the investigation, police found that RS Enterprises had allegedly been created by Raja Man Mohan Singh using forged identity documents in conspiracy with Vikas Pahal. The prosecution alleged that between 2013 and 2021, around Rs.7 crore was transferred to the firm's accounts. Raja Man Mohan Singh was arrested on December 16, 2025, while Vikas Pahal was arrested on January 27, 2026. The police filed the chargesheet on March 13, 2026.
