Army Public School spreads environment awareness
Amritsar, Sept. 7 -- Army Public School, Old Amritsar Cantt organised an engaging environmental awareness programme, 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam,' with the active participation of mothers and residents of Old Amritsar Cantt Station, fostering a collective spirit of care for nature and a greener future.
The programme was attended by Gulmohar Kural Kapoor, chairperson FWO, Panther Division, and Dilpreet Kaur Virk, forest field officer, Punjab forest department.
The event began with a meaningful Nukkad Natak, followed by an environmental pledge by the participants to plant and care for trees, save water and keep their surroundings clean.
The tree plantation ceremony was one of the key highlights of the event. Students and attendees also took part in fun activities and a seed bomb activity, learning simple ways to contribute towards a greener environment.
Students of Classes 6 and 7 also displayed their creativity through environment-themed posters.
The programme concluded with the announcement of the results and the presentation of seed-ball mementos to the students....
