Chandigarh, May 5 -- Residents should brace for another thunderstorm on Tuesday, two days after Sunday's storm brought 24.5 mm rainfall to the city, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Light to moderate rain is expected today, while chances of light rain will continue on Wednesday. IMD officials said weather conditions are again becoming favourable for a thunderstorm, though Wednesday's rain is unlikely to be as intense as the storm witnessed on Sunday. The recent rainfall had brought down day temperatures. The maximum temperature dropped from 33.2degC on Sunday to 31.7degC on Monday, which is 5.8 degrees below normal. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature rose from 17.1degC on Sunday to 20.9degC on Monday, though it remained 2.4 degrees below normal. Over the next three days, the maximum temperature is expected to stay between 32degC and 33degC, while the minimum temperature is likely to range between 19degC and 21degC....
