BATHINDA, Aug. 18 -- The Moga district police have arrested a drug peddler and recovered 4.5 kg of heroin from his possession, officials said. In a press note issued on Monday, senior superintendent of police Sartaj Singh Chahal said Prem Masih, 25, a resident of Hashampura village under Ajnala police station in Amritsar district, was arrested on August 13. He said that following specific information about the movement of a suspected drug trafficker, the crime investigation agency (CIA) tracked and nabbed Masih near Badhni Kalan. The police team seized 4.50 kg of narcotics from his possession, and a case was registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the Badhani Kalan police station, the SSP added.
