India, Aug. 29 -- M usic composer-singer Amaal Mallik has announced a break from film music until next year to focus on his health. The artiste, who recently composed Yeh Awarapan for Awarapan 2, shared the update on X on Thursday. "I am all good & I will go all the way in, this time, to do what is best for me & only do what is important to my heart & for my health. Need a break for my mind, body, soul and overall physical healing," he wrote, adding that he hopes to "bounce back soon with a heart full of melodies". He added, "No more film music till next year," while adding that some previously recorded songs may still release depending on the fate of the films. The announcement comes months after Amaal alleged in May that powerful people in the industry had sidelined him and removed him from several projects. He had then said he was content focusing on independent music if film offers did not come his way.
