AKSIPS students learn fractions through origami
Chandigarh, Aug. 11 -- Students of Class 5 at AKSIPS 45 participated in an innovative activity on fractions using colourful origami paper. During the activity, students learned the concept of fractions by folding and dividing origami sheets into equal parts - halves, quarters, and eighths. They then creatively used these fractional parts to make beautiful origami birds, combining mathematical learning with art and craft. The activity aimed to help students visualise and understand fractions in a concrete and enjoyable manner. It encouraged creativity, fine motor skills, teamwork, and problem-solving while making abstract mathematical concepts tangible and relatable.
