AMRITSAR, Sept. 24 -- The Akal Takht secretariat has issued a warning regarding possible attempts by "mischievous elements" to disrupt the final two days of the Miri-Piri Khalsa March. The secretariat stated that the Punjab government and the local administration will be held responsible if any untoward incident occurs. In an official statement regarding the third phase of the religious march-organised by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) under the patronage of Akal Takht - secretariat in-charge Bagicha Singh stated that officials received credible intelligence regarding planned disturbances as the event approaches its conclusion. The march, which has traversed hundreds of villages, towns, and cities across Punjab, is scheduled to conclude peacefully at the Akal Takht on September 25. Key figures, including Akal Takht acting jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj and SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami, have spearheaded the initiative, encouraging thousands of Sikh youths to renounce drugs.
