8 booked for illegal ultrasound in hospital
ROHTAK, Aug. 8 -- Around eight people have been booked for allegedly violating the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act following a raid by the health department at a private hospital in Hisar.
During the inspection, the team found an ultrasound examination being performed on a decoy customer sent by the health department.
According to the information the FIR has been registered under Sections 18, 23, 25, 29, 3(2) and 9 of the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act, 1994, along with sections 3(5), 318(4) and 61 of the BNS at the urban estate police station.
