BATHINDA, Sept. 19 -- The Moga district police on Friday recovered eight weapons and arrested five persons as two rival groups were planning to clash with each other in Nihal Singh Wala town. Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Sartaj Singh Chahal said that, following specific input about a possible violent clash between rival groups at the grain market in Nihal Singh Wala, a police team acted swiftly and averted violence. Eight weapons, eight magazines, 106 cartridges and two vehicles were seized from the accused. The arrested persons have been identified as Mahinder Singh from Rupnagar; Gurvinder Singh from Patiala; Gurpreet Singh from Sangrur; Amrinder Singh from Patiala and Satvant Singh from Moga....
