Chandigarh, April 18 -- The fourth edition of the Allengers Gully Cricket Tournament 2026 was inaugurated at Sector 16 cricket stadium by Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini, in the presence of UT Chandigarh Chief Secretary Rajesh Prasad, UTCA Chairman Sanjay Tandon, and DGP Chandigarh Police Dr. Sagar Preet Hooda. Organised jointly by the UT cricket association and Chandigarh Police, the tournament aims to engage youth in sports while promoting a drug-free lifestyle. A total of 288 teams, including 32 girls' teams, and nearly 4,000 players aged 14-19 will compete across nine venues over two weeks. The tournament will follow a knockout format with 10-over matches played using tennis balls.
