Ferozepur, May 16 -- Police have booked three inmates and a Punjab Ex-Servicemen Corporation (PESCO) employee for smuggling heroin and a mobile phone into the Ferozepur Central Jail. The accused include inmates Sukhdeep Singh, Gagandeep Singh and Kuljit Singh, besides PESCO employee Gurmit Singh. According to officials, life imprisonment convict Sukhdeep Singh was found concealing 43 gm heroin in his underwear, allegedly arranged by Gurmit. Jail authorities also recovered a mobile phone from inmate Kuljit. A case was registered under relevant sections of the NDPS Act and the Prisons Act.HTC...
