Sangrur/New Delhi, Sept. 9 -- The Punjab Police on Tuesday formed a special investigation team to probe the death by suicide of a 47-year-old Dalit man in Sangrur district, a senior officer said, adding that four people have been arrested and booked for abetment of suicide and hurling caste-based insults. The incident occurred a day after his public confrontation with state finance minister Harpal Cheema over the drug crisis in the region. During an event in a Dirba village on Sunday, the victim approached Cheema on stage to appeal for help regarding his son's drug addiction.
