3 held in Hisar dairy owner's murder case
Karnal, Aug. 12 -- Days after a dairy owner was beaten to death by a group of men, the Hisar police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested three accused in the murder case and issued lookout circulars against the remaining suspects.
The cops, however, did not disclose the names of those arrested as the matter was still under investigation.
According to the police, the incident occurred during wee hours of August 4, when Jeevan, who ran a dairy in Surya Nagar, was riding his motorcycle with a trolley attached to dispose of cow dung near the railway line when a group of 10-12 youths thrashed him with sticks and lathis until he lost consciousness.
The attackers fled the scene and the victim succumbed during treatment.
SP Siddhant Jain said the investigation is being conducted given all the facts, evidence and circumstances surrounding the murder.
A day after the Kurukshetra police arrested four people in the alleged armed robbery case, all the accused were presented before a local court that sent them to nine-day police remand.
Superintendent of police Chander Mohan said teams from CIA-1 and CIA-2 arrested the four accused for the Sector 7 robbery, which took place on the night of August 6 at the residence of Balwant Singh Walia, an advocate.
The FIR stated that the accused allegedly escaped with Rs.17-20 lakh in cash, 1.5-2 kg gold jewellery, about 4 kg silver ornaments, silver utensils and idols, a licensed revolver, 30 cartridges, and other valuables....
