India, May 14 -- At just 23, she won the Uklana Mandi municipal committee chairperson election as an Independent, defeating the ruling BJP candidate by a margin of 2,806 votes. She received indirect backing from the Congress and post-victory commendations from INLD leader Abhay Chautala.
