Pathankot, June 3 -- A group of men allegedly hacked a 20-year-old youth to death over an old rivalry in Pathankot's Samrala village, police said on Tuesday. The deceased was travelling to Rajkharura village when the group attacked him with sharp-edged weapons and fled the scene after leaving him seriously injured, said police. The victim's companion rushed him to a hospital, but doctors declared him dead. Police officials reached the hospital and launched an investigation. A friend, who was accompanying the victim, told police that they were on their way for some work and had stopped near Rajpura village to drink water, when several individuals suddenly attacked the youth.
