Haldwani/Rudrapur, Oct. 15 -- A 14-year-old girl allegedly died by suicide at her home in West Rajiv Nagar in Bindukhatta area of Lalkuan on Tuesday night, police said. Lalkuan SHO Brijmohan Singh Rana said the girl was a Class 8 student and a resident of the area. Preliminary investigation suggested that the girl was using her mobile phone excessively on Tuesday and was admonished by her elder brother, following which she became upset, the police said. Her family took her to Dr Susheela Tiwari Government Hospital in Haldwani, where doctors declared her dead. "The body was handed over to the family following the post-mortem on Wednesday. A detailed investigation into the matter is underway," Rana said....
