Haldwani, Feb. 22 -- At least 12 igloo huts are being constructed in Gunji and Rongkong in Pithoragarh district to provide world-class hospitality and a unique experience to tourists undertaking the Adi Kailash and Om Parvat yatra, officials said. Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN) general manager Vijay Nath Shukla said, "For the first time in Uttarakhand, 12 igloo huts are being constructed in Gunji and Rongkong near the international border in Pithoragarh district at an altitude of around 11,000 feet above sea level. The area is known for its snow-capped mountains, greenery and rich biodiversity." He said it would benefit pilgrims going to Kailash Mansarovar.
