Chandigarh, June 8 -- The Chandigarh Municipal Corporation issued 115 challans against illegal vendors during a special drive, officials said on Sunday. The enforcement teams carried out the operation in several areas, including Sectors 11, 12, 13, 19, 22, 37, 40 and 41 besides Manimajra . During the day-long enforcement drive, action was taken against vendors operating without valid licences. Those encroaching upon public spaces in violation of regulations also faced the music, officials said.
