'Best time to be young in India'
Chandigarh, Aug. 30 -- Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College (GGDSD), Sector 32, on Saturday held a prayer meet to commemorate the 27th death anniversary of its founder president and former Punjab cabinet minister Pandit Mohan Lal.
Delivering the Pandit Mohan Lal Memorial Lecture, Hindustan Times executive editor Ramesh Vinayak described the late statesman as "an illustrious son of Punjab" and "a great institution builder".
Reflecting on the transformative role of institutions, education and technology, Vinayak said these forces had catalysed profound changes in society and shaped the lives of successive generations.
Addressing the younger generation, particularly Gen Z, Vinayak said the vision and efforts of leaders such as Lal have created a wide array of opportunities for youth.
He emphasised that "it is the best time to be young in India today".
The lecture highlighted the relevance of visionary leadership, institution building and quality education in shaping the progress and future of the nation.
