India, May 29 -- N ew York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani drew widespread attention on social media recently after attending Eid al-Adha prayers in New York City's Bronx on Wednesday. His quirky outfit choice, an Arsenal-themed Arabic robe, quickly went viral as he joined worshippers. The robe appeared to be adapted from Arsenal's away jersey into a traditional kurta for the Eid celebration. A longtime supporter of Arsenal F.C., the 34-year-old has often spoken about his connection to the English professional football club. In earlier interviews, he shared that he began supporting Arsenal as a child after being introduced to the team by his uncle. In a podcast last year, he had said, "As a Ugandan kid looking at this team, I was just so proud." The mayor, who made history as NYC's first Muslim mayor and one of its youngest leaders in more than a century, also shared a message reflecting the spirit of Eid al-Adha. Posting photos from the gathering on X, he wrote, "I am honored to be New York City's first Muslim Mayor, and I am determined to lead through solidarity." HTC...
