ctor Rajinikanth on Wednesday said he has become wary of speaking publicly because both his remarks and his silence invite criticism. Speaking at the title announcement event of his upcoming film Dharman, alongside producer-actor Kamal Haasan and director Ashwath Marimuthu, the actor quipped, "Whenever I speak, it becomes a problem... If I stay quiet, people ask why I'm silent."
Reflecting on his decades in the public eye, Rajinikanth added, "People who don't like us will not like us, no matter what we do. And believing those who like us will support everything we do is foolish. One has to be careful."
His comments come weeks after his May press conference, where he attempted to dismiss rumours that he was unhappy over actor Vijay becoming Tamil Nadu chief minister. On Wednesday, when asked if he had wished Vijay on his birthday despite not posting on social media, Rajinikanth replied, "No, no. We had spoken," indicating that he had called him. HTC...
