India, March 9 -- Actor-politician Vijay has addressed rumours and controversies surrounding his personal life in recent days, after reports emerged that his wife, Sangeetha Sornalingam, had filed for divorce after 26 years of marriage. Speaking at his party TVK's International Women's Day event in Mamallapuram, Tamil Nadu, the 51-year-old urged supporters not to react emotionally to the ongoing speculation. "Recently, a few problems have been happening. I see that you are getting hurt while fighting for it. I'm getting hurt seeing you get hurt. I'll take care of the problems. Don't worry," he said during his speech. The remarks come days after Vijay made a joint appearance with actor Trisha at producer Kalpathi S Suresh's son's wedding reception in Chennai.
