India, June 8 -- In Delhi, blue belt practitioner Zainab Naim Gaddi and coach Mohit Chawla conduct free, women-only Brazilian jiu-jitsu sessions that introduce participants to the basics of the martial art.
Led by women instructors, the classes focus on technique, fitness and practical self-defence in a supportive, beginner-friendly environment.
"Traditionally, it has been a male-dominated space, but we've seen growing participation since introducing women-led classes," says Gaddi. "It's also an offbeat way to meet new people compared to usual social gatherings."
