India, Aug. 31 -- Shailene Woodley says she was stunned when a phone call informed her that her scenes as Mary Jane Watson had been removed from the The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014). The actor had already filmed some part with actor Andrew Garfield. In a recent interview as part of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations, Woodley revealed she had shot three scenes with Garfield's Peter Parker. "I was cast as Mary Jane for Spider-Man, which was my dream. Spider-Man's my favourite superhero, Mary Jane was my favourite character growing up. So, when I got it, I was like, 'This is so exciting!'" she said. But then her dream broke over a "fun phone call". "Like a year later, they were like, 'So, you're not in the movie anymore'," she recalled. When she asked the reason, she was told it was due to the number of new characters introduced in the film and the storyline involving Garfield's Peter Parker and actor Emma Stone's character, Gwen Stacy. "They were like, 'Let's wait for her [Stacy] to die, and then we'll introduce Mary Jane'... but then they didn't make that film. So, there was no reintroduction," she added.HTC...
