India, Aug. 21 -- To mark what would have been Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe's 100th birthday, American toy company Mattel has recently launched a special-edition Barbie in her honour. Designed in collaboration with The Estate of Marilyn Monroe, the Barbie wears a floor-length pink gown complete with an oversized bow, paying homage to her performance of Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend. It is priced at $81 (approx Rs.7,000). However, the doll's release has sparked buzz online over questioning its resemblance to the late actor. One user commented, "It's missing something", another pointed out, "It just looks like Barbie in a Marilyn costume. The face and hair are wrong." A third user wrote, "I do think the execution of this doll doesn't truly live up to 100 years of MM IMO... The hair is parted on the incorrect side...
