India, June 19 -- Actor Maanvi Gagroo recently revisited a disturbing incident from her early days in the entertainment industry where she received a work offer in exchange for 'compromise'. The actor shared that being new to that world, she didn't even understand what the word meant in this context. Appearing on Two Girls & Two Cups podcast, she recalled that the offer came to her via a text message which read, "Rs.1 lakh plus compromise". "I showed it to a casting director who was like a mentor. He was like, 'Just delete, block, delete him'," she recalled, quipping, "I was impressed. People usually think there should be no proof. They'll say things on the phone so nobody can report them. But this was 'Rs.1 lakh plus compromise' in a text." Maanvi revealed that till then, she thought "compromise" referred to a financial arrangement or some kind of budget-related deal. "Mujhe pehle laga compromise matlab budget mein compromise karoge ki nahin. I thought maybe it's a financial thing. Like GST... Rs.1 lakh plus GST, complimentary something maybe. Plus compromise. I didn't know. This is what happens to non-nepo kids. Navigating all of this is not easy," she asserted.
