Inside Donald Trump's 'royal' dinner
India, May 1 -- All the viral moments from Donald Trump's state dinner for King Charles
All praise: Trump was sitting in the Oval Office with the astronauts who recently returned home from the Artemis II space mission when he offered compliments to the king. He called Charles a "great friend" and said, "I think if he were doing that, if that were up to him, he would have probably helped us with Iran."
History, with a wink: "Thank you, Mr. President and Mrs. Trump, for your splendid dinner this evening, which may I say is a very considerable improvement on the Boston Tea Party," said King Charles joking about the Boston Tea Party.
Repartee across the Atlantic: "You recently commented, Mr. President, that if it were not for the United States, European countries would be speaking German. Dare I say that if it wasn't for us, you'd be speaking French," added Charles as a roast to Trump's claim regarding U.S. intervention in World War II.
