India, April 13 -- A t Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh, an Indian-born female cheetah has given birth to a litter of four cubs in the wild, marking the first such instance since the reintroduction project began in 2022. Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav announced the development on X on Saturday, calling it "a major milestone in India's cheetah conservation journey." The mother, identified as GP12, is the second cub from the first litter of Gamini, a cheetah translocated from South Africa.
