India, May 14 -- It seems Conan O'Brien is set to score an Oscars hat-trick. The comedian and Emmy-winner will return to host the 99th Academy Awards in 2027, the Academy announced on Tuesday. Academy CEO Bill Kramer and president Lynette Howell Taylor praised Conan and his producing team for delivering "captivating, entertaining and heartfelt" ceremonies over the past two years. Conan, who first hosted the Oscars in 2025 before returning earlier this year, will once again work alongside executive producers Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan. During this year's ceremony, Conan joked that he was "honoured to be the last human host of the Academy Awards", quipping that "next year it's going to be a Waymo in a tux."
