Badshah's Chandigarh club sealed over building violations
India, June 4 -- The Chandigarh Administration on Tuesday sealed singer-rapper Badshah's club in Sector 26 for continued non-compliance with building safety regulations flagged by the UT estate office.
The action was carried out by the administration's Enforcement Wing as part of an ongoing drive against establishments violating rules in the city's popular nightlife district.
According to officials, the nightclub, named Sago By Badshah, was found to have multiple unauthorised structures, including cabins, partitions, toilets, kitchens and a cold store.
Teams also found open courtyards with mild steel structures and fibre sheets, construction of tin sheds and storage areas, alteration of the rear elevation and several other deviations from the approved planning and layout of the club.
A show-cause notice was issued to the establishment on April 25, 2024, seeking an explanation for the violations and directing it to remove or regularise the structures.
