India, Oct. 29 -- Actor Deepika Singh, known for shows such as Diya Aur Baati Hum and Mangal Lakshmi, says observing Karwa Chauth can be challenging amid a demanding television shoot schedule. However, she ensures she makes time for the rituals. "When I'm on set, I still try to complete all rituals. Rohit (Raj Goyal, her husband and director) being from the same field helps," she shares. Beyond the fast itself, the festival holds a deeper significance for Deepika. "It's about following our Indian culture, tradition, love, respect, and gratitude. I take a pause and thank God for giving me a partner like Rohit. Karwa Chauth is a celebration of our togetherness," she says. Recalling her first Karwa Chauth after their marriage in 2014, the 36-year-old says, "I wore my bridal lehenga on that day. It's a memory I cherish, especially because I was so slim back then; ab toh ayega bhi nahi!" And does Rohit observe the fast alongside Deepika? "Maine ek baar Karwa Chauth ka fast rakha tha, lekin ab nahi rakhta. I skip breakfast and lunch just to give her company," he says. The 42-year-old also admits that he would rather Deepika skip the fast, given her health concerns, but understands what the ritual means to her. "Main Deepika ko hamesha mana karta hoon ki woh fast na rakhe, kyunki uska BP low rehta hai. Lekin woh phir bhi mere liye fast rakhti hain, and that is commendable. Shayad pyaar bhi yahi hai," he ends....
