Sri Lanka, Oct. 30 -- President's Special Envoy for Foreign Direct Investment and Western Province Governor Hanif Yusoof has said Sri Lanka has for too long failed to connect its talent and ambition with the opportunities needed to realise its potential, stressing the importance of building an inclusive economy capable of attracting both local and international investment.

Speaking at the Orange Economy Summit 2026 in Colombo on Wednesday, Yusoof outlined the Government's commitment to inclusive finance and creating an environment in which capital can grow. He said the country lacked neither ambition nor opportunity, identifying its people, rather than its land, forests or geographical location, as its greatest natural resource.
