Sri Lanka, Aug. 18 -- Young political leaders from across South and Southeast Asia, led by the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Institute, met with the Women Parliamentarians' Caucus in Sri Lanka on August 7. The delegation engaged in a constructive dialogue at the Parliament, with the meeting chaired by Hon. Minister of Women and Child Affairs, Saroja Savithri Paulraj.

The Chairperson stated that the Tenth Parliament has the largest representation of women from various political, ethnic, and religious backgrounds in Sri Lankan history. She explained that the Caucus focuses on empowering women, eliminating violence and harassment, advocating for gender equality, and promoting legal and policy reforms.
