Sri Lanka, Sept. 19 -- The Court of Appeal has ordered that a writ application filed to ensure the safety of Nilanga Sampath Silva, alias 'Panadura Nilanga,' be called for consideration on the 26th.

Nilanga was recently arrested in Indonesia and is currently in the custody of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

The petition was filed by the suspect's mother and was called today (19) before a Court of Appeal bench comprising President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Rohantha Abeysooriya, and Justice Priyantha Fernando.

After considering the submissions from both the petitioner's counsel and Additional Solicitor General Shanil Kularatne, the bench scheduled the case for further consideration.
