Sri Lanka, July 1 -- Former Minister Wimal Weerawansa claims the current government prioritises arresting two people per day instead of implementing development programmes. He made this remark while responding to a question from journalists.

The former minister further stated that the government relies on framing charges against individuals to maintain its survival, as it lacks other operational plans. He added that the administration promised public servants a future where they could own their own vehicles, yet those workers are now reduced to buying 20 kilos of rice on credit.
