Sri Lanka, Aug. 24 -- A restaurant located near the main entrance of Wilpattu National Park has been found to be overcharging both local and foreign tourists, according to officials from the Puttalam District office of the Consumer Affairs Authority.
During a recent inspection, authorities discovered that the establishment was selling basic items, such as bottled water, at prices well above the regulated maximum retail price.
One and a half litre bottles of drinking water, which should be sold at Rs. 130, were being offered at Rs. 200, an increase of Rs. 70 per unit.
