Sri Lanka, Sept. 21 -- A private bus carrying a group of pilgrims was attacked by a wild elephant on the Sithulpawwa-Kirinda road this morning, September 21.
The elephant caused damage to the bus, but there were no casualties, as the quick-thinking driver was able to move the vehicle forward, averting a major disaster.
The incident was captured on a mobile phone by one of the passengers.
