Sri Lanka, Sept. 20 -- Sri Lankan all-rounder Dunith Wellalage has returned to the United Arab Emirates to rejoin the Asia Cup squad after attending his father's funeral in Colombo.

Airport officials confirmed he left Katunayake early today (20) aboard Emirates flight EK-649 at 3:05 a.m.

Wellalage had flown back to Sri Lanka following the sudden passing of his father and paid his final respects before resuming international duties.
