Sri Lanka, March 17 -- All government-approved private schools will remain closed on Wednesdays following the declaration of the day as a special government holiday, the Deputy Minister of Education says.
Essential Services Commissioner General Prabath Chandrakeerthi clarified yesterday (16) that conducting private tuition classes on Wednesdays is strictly prohibited. This directive aligns with the broader policy designating every Wednesday as a holiday for government offices, including judicial services, schools, and universities.
