Sri Lanka, Sept. 30 -- The wholesale price of vegetables in the market has seen a significant drop compared to the recent past.

The management of the Dambulla Dedicated Economic Centre stated that the decline is due to an increase in the daily supply of vegetables.

Accordingly, prices have fallen for a number of vegetables, including carrots, beans, pumpkin, cabbage, tomatoes, red onion, leeks, and radish.

Market reports indicate that the price of pumpkin has fallen to as low as 60 rupees per kilogram.
