Sri Lanka, Sept. 7 -- A van travelling on the main road in the Kandekade area of Morontuduwa on the Kalutara road caught fire suddenly and was destroyed.

The driver of the van sustained injuries while attempting to extinguish the fire that broke out and was admitted to the Kalutara Teaching Hospital for further treatment. Morontuduwa police stated this.

The cause of the fire has not been revealed yet.

Residents worked together to extinguish the fire, and Morontuduwa police are conducting further investigations regarding the incident.
