Sri Lanka, Aug. 6 -- A man running a store selling illegally imported mobile phones without a license was arrested along with a stock of 67 mobile phones, Pettah Police said.

The person arrested was a 31-year-old resident of the Maligawatta area.

Police stated that investigations into unregistered shops in the Pettah area were being continuously conducted for some time, and cases were filed in court against nearly ten such shops so far.

Police said during such a raid conducted on August 4, this mobile phone shop, which operated for a long time in a basement of a building on the 2nd Cross Street, was found.
