Sri Lanka, Sept. 19 -- The United National Party (UNP) will hold its 79th anniversary celebration in Colombo tomorrow.

A senior party official said that leaders and representatives of other opposition political parties have been invited to address the gathering.

The event, which is themed "Let's Stand Together, Protect Democracy, and Unite All Forces," will also feature a special address by the UNP's leader, former President Ranil Wickremesinghe.

A tribute will also be paid to the party's late pioneer political leaders.
