Sri Lanka, Sept. 17 -- The U.S. Embassy in Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Commerce's Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP), recently conducted a workshop in Colombo to enhance Sri Lanka's capabilities in ports law and public-private partnerships (PPPs). The training, held from September 8 to 10, focused on concession law, which provides the legal framework for agreements between governments and private companies, with an emphasis on promoting transparency, accountability, and the public interest. The program was attended by legal experts from the Sri Lanka Ports Authority and the Attorney General's Department.
