Sri Lanka, Oct. 17 -- Two suspects have been arrested on charges of aiding and abetting the shooting incidents that took place in the Middeniya - Thorakolayaya and Panadura, Hirana areas.

The first suspect was arrested in connection with the discovery of the bodies of two young men who were shot dead in the Thorakolayaya area of Middeniya on June 24.

The arrested individual is a 32-year-old man residing in the Weeraketiya area.

Police stated that he is also linked to break-ins and gold jewellery robberies that occurred within the Weeraketiya, Hungama, and Hakmana police jurisdictions.
